Day 1 of my New Diet

I hate to use the word diet because to me it sounds like a temporary fix to ones food intake.

But it does fit this situation.  I have stopped eating meat and I got to admit, there is some anxiety.  I feel like I am trying to make it up by eating sweets.  Which kind of brings me to me first realization, just because you go vegetarian doesn’t mean you are eating healthy.

For me, its becoming a weird balancing act.  Of course I said I will not eat meat, and I have left fish and eggs as options, but I still have to watch that I still eat healthy foods AND make sure what I eat does not trigger gout.

I did run outside today and I initially felt like I could run 2 mile again, but as I progressed, it seemed like the more painful my left foot became.  Which is the opposite of what I my right foot is like where it gets better as I progress.

Now that I am officially in non-meat mode, I am hoping to see improvement in my weight.

Hopefully I will hit 220 or less before June 20th.
